Just A Few Friends Thanksgiving Hop

Hello everyone.  Thank you for taking time out of your day to prowl around our dens for our Thanksgiving/Fall Hop. We have all been busily creating some awesome thanksgiving home decor items for you  to enjoy. We hope to inspire you all to create a little something to celebrate with over thanksgiving. Our challenge and theme this month was to create something for the home in Fall or Thanks Giving colours.

My project is a table scape. My family is very traditional, yet "informal". We are far more comfortable gathered around our kitchen island rather than the dining table. So I decided to pounce around in the kitchen to make the island a little more "purrfect" for our Thanksgiving feast. I decided to create name plates, mini menus (which are subject to change hehehe), and a small floral container.
The name plate is simply cut using a spellbinders die. I used one of the KandCompany Fall paper pads. I added some distressed sunflowers, added some glittery/bling letters and I was done. I purchased the pumpkin name tag holder from Michael's right after Halloween.
I also used the same paper pad to create the menus. I cut the layers at 5 1/2 inches and 5 inches. I printed the menu on some vanilla cardstock and used another spellbinders die for the fancy edging.
Finally, the floral container is a large (industrial) tissue roll I got out of my local Marshalls. It was empty and bond to go into the trash. So I rescued it and turned it into a lovely bud vase for silk flowers. I have been prowling every store now on the look out for these tissue rolls. I scored two more at Michaels to complete my table scape. Again I used the same paper and a EK success punch, flowers, and a Recollections wood bird trinket to finish it off. I hope you enjoyed my table scrape. I am roaring with pride over how simple and elegant it turned out.  Now if you would like to see more awesome fall projects, please pounce on over to Violet's blog  http://allthatscrap4him.blogspot.com/ and see what she  created. And if your on my blog by chance, please prowl/pounce on over to Elsa’s blog and start the hop from the beginning!  Enjoy the remainder of the hop. Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
